The Oudestraat (Old street) is the main street of the old city, and has been claimed to be the longest shopping street in the Netherlands. Virtually every house on this street is a national monument. This is the "downstream" part, a designation often used in Kampen given the improtance of the IJssel river - which is actually just a few meters away in parallel.
